Bizman, toddler-son killed after car rams truck on foggy morning
Bengaluru: A 35-year-old businessman and his two-year-old son from North Karnataka were killed while his wife sustained serious injuries when their car rammed a slowly moving concrete-mixer truck on National Highway-48 in Kallambella, Tumakuru district, early Wednesday morning. The victims are N Gururaj Shetty and son G Rishank from Mundaragi in Gadag district. Shetty's wife Harshita has been shifted to hospital with serious injuries, police said. Gururaj did not notice the truck due to thick morning fog, resulting in the accident, a police officer said.Running a bookstall and owning a printing press, Gururaj had come to Bengaluru to attend a function at his sister-in-law's house and was returning to Gadag when the accident happened. "On Tuesday evening, Gururaj called his father Nagaraj, saying he will leave Bengaluru by night and reach Gadag in the morning. Nagaraj then warned Gururaj that night-driving was risky and advised his son to start early morning, " the officer said.Accordingly, Gururaj, his wife and son left around 5.45am. "Gururaj and Rishank sat in the front while Harshika on the back seat of their car. The mixer truck was moving slowly on the extreme right lane and Gururaj failed to notice it due to fog and hit it," the officer added.

lets not talk about the maniac way people drive their cars in the morning even when the visibility is low. The car rammed a slow moving truck at a speed that is good enough for the car to be totally mangled and that talks volumes about how rashly he was driving. Hope is not a strategy and its not fun either to let go every cheap behaviour on the road by just saying "India is not for beginers" when in reality is us who are making thing tough with our behavior.Read allPost comment
