Tourists rescued from Paladka Erugundi waterfalls in Dakshina Kannada

MOODBIDRI: A group of tourists who were trapped between two rocks at the Paladka Erugundi waterfalls in Moodbidri were successfully rescued by local residents on Sunday.

A video of the dramatic rescue using ropes has since gone viral on social media.

The region has been experiencing heavy rainfall over the past few days, raising concerns about sudden surges in water levels.

Authorities have urged visitors to exercise caution, as flash floods and slippery terrain pose serious risks. It is learnt that the tourists did not pay heed to the warnings by locals.
