BENGALURU: It's been an unending wait for a family which lost two of its members to incessant rain last Friday . While the body of 18-year-old Pushpa (the daughter) was found on Sunday, 57-yearold Meenakshi (the mother), remained untraced till Monday evening. The mother-daughter duo was washed away in a stormwater drain in Laggere on October 13 evening. On Monday, a search team scanned areas within 3km of Kumbalgodu, off Mysore Road, from where Pushpa's body was recovered, said officials from Karnataka State Disaster Management Authority (KSNDMC).
Pradeep K K, emergency coordinator (disaster management), KSNDMC Said, “On Monday morning we were informed that some locals in Bidadi spotted a body.However, on rushing to the spot we found it wasn't Meenakshi's.“
“The search is on though we couldn't focus much on it as we were held up in rescuing bodies from the collapsed building in Ejipura," he added.
