The Indian coast has so much to offer: Herpetologist Rom Whitaker

BANGALORE: The Andaman and Nicobar Islands are the last island frontier and critically in need of enlightened protection says renowned herpetologist Rom Whitaker. Addressing this need, renowned herpetologist is putting together coastal and wildlife experience this winter.
"Most people's experiences of the sand and sea involve deck chairs, volleyball, umbrellas and beachside holidays.The coast has so much more to offer. We'll be exploring nature and wildlife beginning the east coast of India this November. At the Centre of Island Ecology in the Andamans, we'll explore the fascinating habitats both above and below water," says Gerry. This programme will allow its participants the opportunity to experience the connection various experts have with their specialist fields.
"From delving into generations of wisdom possessed by the Irula tribe folk, to gaining from Rom Whitaker's decades of experience in reptile conservation, this experience will have it all," says Gerry.
