raichur: deputy commissioner g. kumar nayak here on saturday, appealed to temple managements using microphones should take valid permission from the concerned police stations for the same. he said this action had been taken following several complaints made by the public about disturbance caused by the microphones. he told the temple authorities to follow the rules and avoid creating any nuisance for the public.
mp's call: a. venkatesh nayak, mp, has called upon the youth to utilise and get the benefit of the new industrial policy. he was addressing the audience at a seminar on the ``new industrial policy -2001,. the seminar was organised by the district industry centre, chamber of commerce, factory owners association and rice mill owners association jointly. earlier, venkatesh nayak inaugurated the seminar here, on saturday, at craft hall of the zilla panchayat, by lighting the lamp. he said, due to the liberalisation policy, many industries were facing stiff competition. ``under these circumstances, the industries should maintain its standard quality in production and reform their activities. there would be no hurdles for establishing power unit industries here, as raichur city is in between krishna and tungabhadra rivers,'' he said. the deputy commissioner, g. kumar nayak, who was the chief guest for the function said, the provisions of the new industrial policy are beneficial for the industrialists. he also told the industrialists to make use of the new industrial policy. he said, all problems relating to the industries would be solved by the the ``single window committee.'' he added that the karnataka industries development board would guide in establishing new industries at raichur. local mla syed yasin presided over the function. speaking on the occassion, he advised the industrialists to manufacture goods that are ``essential'' for the common man.
