BENGALURU: Telugu film actor Nandamuri Taraka Ratna, who suffered a cardiac arrest at Kuppam, Andhra Pradesh, on January 27, is in critical condition at a Bengaluru hospital.
The 39-year-old was treated at a hospital in Kuppam first where he was resuscitated for 45 minutes. He was then moved to Bengaluru because of his critical condition.
As on Sunday evening, he remained critical and was under observation at Narayana Institute of Cardiac Sciences (Narayana Hrudayalaya).
He was brought to Bengaluru via road on January 28 after city doctors evaluated his condition in Kuppam. While in Bengaluru, it was learned that his condition was highly critical because of cardiogenic shock after a myocardial infarction. Doctors continued evaluating his condition and treatment under standard guidelines.
Telugu actor and cousin NTR Jr and health minister K Sudhakar are known to have visited the actor.
