Tanishka Kapil Kalbhairav, Atharva Nawarange champions

BENGALURU: Tanishka Kapil Kalbhairav overcame Hiya Singh in a six-game thriller to annex the girls U-13 title at the state ranking table tennis tournament hosted by the Malleswaram Association here on Sunday.
Tanishka (BTTA) scored a hard-fought 9-11, 12-10, 11-6, 11-7, 9-11, 13-11 victory to complete a double. The youngster had won the U-11 title a day earlier.In corresponding boys’ event, Atharva Nawarange (SKIES) had it easy against Gaurav Gowda in the final, scoring a 11-7, 11-9, 11-3, 11-2 win.
Abinav Prasanna won the U-11 title with a 5-11, 11-5, 6-11, 11-5, 11-3 victory over Shriram Kiran in the final.
