Tamil Nadu man kills woman, goes live on social media, ends life

BENGALURU: A 47-year-old man from Tamil Nadu's Dharmapuri allegedly killed his former partner, went live on a social-networking site holding her body and later hanged himself from a tree in border village Nagamale, near MM Hills, late Wednesday night.
In a video post now viral, Muniraju is seen crying while holding the body of the woman, identified as Lakshmi, 37. Both were working as construction labourers.Police said Muniraju allegedly smashed the head of Lakshmi with a boulder near her house in Nagamale. A littler later, he was found dead closeby.
According to police, Lakshmi, a widow from Pennagaram village of Tamil Nadu, was reportedly in a relationship with Muniraju. She left him to marry another person seven months ago. Angry that he had been dumped, Muniraju came to MM Hills on Wednesday looking for Lakshmi and killed her after finding her alone, police said. Chamarajanagar additional superintendent of police Udesh said police have launched a probe and are collecting details of the incident.
