BENGALURU: A police team from Punjab arrested a 38-year-old suspected
Khalistan militant from a paying guest accommodation in Sampigehalli, northeast Bengaluru, last week with the assistance of Central Crime Branch sleuths.
Jarnail Singh Sidhu had fled from Mohali to Bengaluru six months ago.
“He was staying in the PG after he arrived in Bengaluru and worked in a private company in the locality.
“Punjab police arrested him and took him to their state for further investigation,” a senior police officer said.
According to police sources, Jarnail was allegedly advocating the formation of Khalistan and was in touch with a group to commisssion strikes in Punjab.
Sources said they are trying to get more information about Jarnail.
