KOLAR: Naveena, the junior advocate who was murdered on the high court premises on Thursday, was a soft person by nature, according to her uncle J V Narayanaswamy who is a Congress party member.
Speaking to TOI, KPCC member Narayanaswamy said Naveena's father J Srinivasa Reddy is a humble person and had no rivalry of any sorts. They had set up a farmhouse in their farm at Jambapura and Jedarahalli villages, bordering Kolar and Chintamani taluks, he said.
Since Narayanaswamy was keen on politics, he had shifted his family to Chintamani, while Srinivasa Reddy and family were living at the farm house, he said.
Naveena, a studious girl, studied in Chintamani till PU. She later joined the five-year LLB Course at Kolar and graduated in 2009. She was staying as a paying guest in Bangalore with some of her friends.
Naveena's elder brother Ramakrishna is into agricultural activities with his father, while younger brother Vivek had just completed his diploma course, Narayanaswamy said.
`NO ROMANCE'
Brushing aside the theory that the motive behind the murder was `romance', Narayanaswamy said since he knew Naveena since childhood, he can vouch to the effect that Naveena was not a girl who would fall prey to such deeds.
