Stove burst proves fatal for woman

hubli: in an accidental fire here on monday, a woman succumbed to injuries and her husband is fighting for his life. police said the incident occurred in shiggaon village near hubli when manjawwa (26) was making breakfast and had lit the stove. when she was occupied with other work in the kitchen, the stove burst. hearing her screams, the husband rushed to her aid and was also burnt.eight-year-old hit by bike:an eight-year-old girl was injured by a two-wheeler in the vidyanagar area here. the police said the incident occurred near shiggaon building when savitri sharanayya hiremath was going to school with her mother. the vehicle coming from the opposite direction hit the girl, who fell on her head. she has been admitted to hospital and is undergoing treatment. two injured as car hits bike:two persons were injured when their vehicle collided with a car near the petrol bunk at hosur area here on tuesday. the police said the injured are mahadev c. meharwade (26) and praveen pundaliksa rajahalli (21). the car, which was going towards dharwad, tried to overtake another vehicle. however, it lost balance and hit the oncoming bike, the police added. the injured have been admitted to kims hospital with head injuries. unidentified body found:the body of an unidentified man was found in the new cotton market area of hubli on tuesday. the police said the man was suffering from some disease. releasing details, the police said he was 5 feet, 6 inches. anyone with clues to the missing man's identity may contact the police immediately.
