The accused, M Ganesh has been remanded in three-day

police custody

. He allegedly stabbed six persons in 30 minutes on a 2-km stretch in Anjanappa Garden, Chalavadi Palya and Bakshi Garden areas of Cottonpet before he was caught by police. “Ganesh appears to be mentally unstable and doctors at

Mari R, 30, a labourer, succumbed to injuries on Sunday. Two injured workers —Velayudham and Suresh —underwent surgeries on Monday. Prakash and Anand sustained injuries on their hands and are out of danger.
