BANGALORE: They fought over a trivial issue but 14-year-old S Salauddin paid with his life.
Salauddin, who was severely injured in a fight with two neighbourhood boys on Tuesday (March 29), died in Victoria Hospital on Friday.
School dropout Salauddin worked in a garage and his temperamental behaviour and frequent fights with other boys were the bane of Lakshmidevinagar in Rajgopalnagar police limits.
While returning from work on Tuesday, he had a scuffle with two boys, one 12 years old and the other, 14. "Those boys reportedly glared at him and that annoyed him,'' said police. Salauddin beat them up and went home.
The enraged boys decided to avenge the attack and teach him a lesson. After some time, they went to Salauddin's house and called him. When he came out, the boys attacked him. Before neighbours and passers-by could intervene, the boys stabbed Salauddin with a sharp scissor. All three sustained injuries in the fight, but Salauddin bore the brunt and was shifted to Victoria Hospital.
Salauddin's father Saleem Pasha filed a complaint with Rajgopalnagar police who arrested the boys and sent them to a remand home.
