BELLARY: Former minister
B Sriramulu has put the ball back in Speaker’s court. After submitting his resignation as MLA to Speaker K G Bopaiah on September 4, Sriramulu reiterated his stand saying that he will not go back on his decision.
“I will not withdraw my resignation at any cost. I have communicated my views to the Speaker,” he told reporters here on Saturday and refused to elaborate on it.
Denying reports that he had gone underground after Reddy’s arrest, Sriramulu said he is ready to cooperate with the CBI if summoned.
He said he was in New Delhi, till Thursday night consulting legal experts and party leaders.
Arrest soon? CBI sources said that Sriramulu may soon be summoned or arrested considering that he has a long-time business association with Janardhana Reddy. “It’s just a matter of time,” they added.
