BENGALURU: Karnataka
home minister
Basavaraj Bommai’s house in
MLA Layout of
RT Nagar
in state capital Bengaluru received an unusual guest in the form of a
rat snake
on Wednesday afternoon.
The
snake
was rescued by Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) wildlife volunteers and released into a safe habitat later.
The incident took place around 2pm. The home minister’s gun man noticed a juvenile rat snake and called the BBMP control room for help. Snake rescuer Mohan K arrived at the spot and rescued the snake that was hiding under a plant.
“There is a vacant site and blocked drain behind the house of home minister. The snake might have sneaked into the house from there. In fact, there was call for snake
rescue
from the same house few days ago. By the time we arrived, the snake had escaped by climbing on a tree,” said Mohan.
