Bangalore: Rural development and panchayat raj minister Shobha Karandlaje has made her stand clear about continuing in office. "I'll remain a minister for the next four years, come what may," she said on Friday.
Dissident ministers in the B S Yeddyurappa-led government reportedly want her to be removed from the ministry.
"I had offered to resign, but Yeddyurappa advised me not to take any hasty step and work for the state's development," she said.
"I took his advice seriously and decided to look ahead," she added.
On Mysore MP H Vishwanth's recent sarcasm that BJP is not short of male ministers to take care of Mysore, Shobha replied: "I wish he puts the same question before Sonia Gandhi. He seems to have forgotten that his party is headed by a woman. I hope he will raise the same issue in Parliament, since the Lok Sabha speaker is a woman now."
