Senior officer, 2 aides in soup over forged land documents

Bengaluru: Acting on a complaint filed by Bengaluru South tahsildar Srinivasa H, city police registered a criminal case of cheating and forgery against the assistant commissioner for Bengaluru South, Shivanna MG, and his associates — Jnanashekhar and Giridhar KS. Jnanashekhar is a first-division assistant in Shivanna’s office, while Giridhar is a private person.
The FIR states that documents of a parcel of land were forged in March 2021 by the accused. “Prime accused Shivanna had forged documents and created fake land records in the name of Giridhar,” the FIR states.
A press release from revenue minister Krishna Byregowda stated that Shivanna had been found guilty of signing land records even after his transfer from Yelahanka sub-division. tnn

State advice on tea tourism, land pattas

Not many tea estates have taken advantage of the government's tea tourism scheme, according to the state land and land reforms secretary.
