BENGALURU: A
senior citizen was murdered
allegedly by his son over a
financial dispute
at
Kaudenahalli near Ramamurthy Nagar
in east Bengaluru on Saturday night.
Police said Narayanaswamy, 65, a
landlord
and resident of Kalkere Main Road, was hit by a hammer four times and he died of excessive bleeding. ‘The suspect is his son, Manoj N, 28, a resident of Seegehalli, near Whitefield.
Police said Narayanaswamy and Manoj often argued over finanical matters. Manoj lived in a rental house with wife Jyothi and their daughter because he couldn’t get along with his father.
Manoj, who was into
real estate business
, incurred heavy loss and sought his father’s help. He also asked Narayanaswamy to give him part of the rental income he earned as a landlord.
Narayanaswamy refused and Manoj, in a fit of rage, hit his father on the head with the hammer. He fled from the spot soon after his father collapsed, police said.
