Schoolgirl gang-raped in Kolar village

KOLAR: A 15-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped while she was returning home from school. This happened in Kuppur village, Malur taluk, Kolar district.
The girl's mother told police the incident occurred on June 28. But it came to light only on Wednesday morning when the girl was taken to the hospital after she attempted suicide.
The four youths, Anil Kumar, Munikrishna, Krishna and Narayanaswamy, residents of Kuppur village, are absconding, according to Masti Cross police, where the case has been registered.Sub-inspector HR Siddappa said the teenager was returning from school in Hasandahalli, when she was abducted by the youths, taken to a secluded place and raped.
The accused threatened the girl with dire consequences if she revealed their names. When her mother noticed her behaving strangely, she questioned the girl, who spilled the beans.
