School mgmts seek directions on safety
Bengaluru: The Karnataka Private School Managements, Teaching, Non-teaching Staff Co-ordination Committee on Thursday met the officials of the Karnataka State Commission for Child Rights’ Protection and raised concerns over the safety of schoolchildren.
The issues include curbing access to social media for those aged below 18 years, action against parents who allow minors to use their two-wheelers, ban on sale of cigarettes and other tobacco products around campuses, banning online gaming and gambling and allowing private schools to decide on uniforms.
