Rs 7,000 stolen from actor's residence in Bengaluru

BENGALURU: Kannada film actor Vinaya Prasad has alleged that some unknown miscreants burgled her residence in Nandini Layout on October 22 and decamped with Rs 7,000 in cash.

Police took up a case on October 26, based on a complaint filed by Vinaya Prasad. The actor told cops that her husband Jyothiprakash Hatri had left home around 7.30am on October 22 to visit his hometown Udupi and she stepped out around 10.40am.

She returned home around 4.30pm and noticed that the main door was broken open. She rushed inside the house and found that miscreants had taken away Rs 7,000 cash kept in the bedroom. Police said efforts are on to trace and arrest the suspects and they have picked up a few habitual burglars for questioning.
