BENGALURU: Sandalwood star and former BJP MLC Jaggesh’s elder son Gururaj, who also is an actor, was allegedly stabbed in a case of road rage on Monday morning in RT Nagar, north Bengaluru, when he had gone to drop his son at a play home.
Around 8.40am, a rashly driven car brushed against Gururaj’s car while overtaking it and stopped at the traffic signal near Mathadahalli ground.

A verbal duel broke out between Gururaj and the driver of the other car at the signal, following which the latter pulled out a knife and stabbed Gururaj in the thigh before speeding away, police said.
Gururaj told the media that his son was inside the car when the attack took place and alleged that the public didn’t come forward to help. “They were busy taking photographs and recording the incident on their mobile phones rather than helping me,” Gururaj said.
Police have registered a case of assault based on the complaint lodged by Gururaj and launched a manhunt for the miscreant.
Gururaj went to a private hospital where he received four stitches for the cut before returning to his residence at Jayamahal Extension. Jaggesh later tweeted that his son had escaped due to grace of the god. Thanking all those who supported him, Jaggesh said the attacker had “put his hand in a beehive and will pay the price.”
