BENGALURU: The Karnataka high court has granted bail to J N Ganesh, Congress MLA from Kampli constituecy, in connection with the resort brawl case.
While allowing Ganesh's bail petition, Justice B A Patil has directed him to execute a personal bond of Rs 2 lakhs and two sureties of like sum.
Ganesh had moved the high court seeking bail with regards to a criminal case lodged against him for allegedly assaulting and also making an attempt on the life of fellow Congress MLA from Vijayanagar constituency Anand Singh on the night of January 20 when they were in the resort, situated on the outskirts of Bengaluru city.
A special court for people’s representatives rejected his bail petition on March 25.
