BANGALORE: The Karnataka high court on Friday directed the government to repatriate all those principals, professors and teachers who are posted in different departments on deputation.
“We direct the government to withdraw the deputation orders of teachers, principals and professors in the best interest of students and educational institutions to get better results in government-aided institutions.
It cannot allow some of them to continue on deputation and withdraw only a few,’’ a division bench headed by Justice K L Manjunath observed in its order after permitting petitioners Vasantharaja Shetty and R Subra Nayaka to withdraw their petition.
The petitioners had claimed that they preferred to continue in the deputation post in the state payscale as against the hefty pay packet of UGC scale offered by their previous posting.
