Many complain that the details of only three or four students get uploaded after a wait of nearly 10-12 hours. This has prompted the department, which had rolled out the new system two weeks ago, to extend the deadline for schools to upload data from December 10 to December 20.

“Earlier, with student strength as many as 200, some school headmasters and teachers used to forego their classes and upload information from OMR sheets to our database,” said Sumangala V, director of the board.
T Raju, headmaster of a government higher primary school in Marathahalli, said: “As of now, the system is slow but this is much better than our teachers doing this work instead of being in class, teaching students.”
M A Khan, chairperson of KK School in Varthur, however, said the server being unresponsive has massively slowed down the process. “It has been chaotic since the implementation of this system. We’ve 86 students taking up the Class 10 exams this year but since November 20, we have been able to add details of only 29 students. However, the department has extended the deadline,” he added.
General secretary of association of managements of private budget schools in Karnataka D Shashikumar said: “We’ve complained to the board several times to increase the server capacity. While most of the issues have been resolved by the technical team at SSA, the government has to look in to providing fast and more resources to handle the state volume.”
