Thamassu, directed by Agni Shridhar and produced by Syed Aman Bachchan, was adjudged the second best film. The producer and the director will get Rs 75,000 and 100-gm silver medal each.
Manasa, directed by Kodlu Ramakrishna and produced by Anitha Rani, was chosen as the third best film. The producer and the director will get Rs 50,000 and 100-gm silver medal each.

The government had constituted a new film advisory committee, headed by veteran director-producer SK Bhagwan (Dore Bhagwan), which reconsidered the selections for the 2010-11 State Film Awards. The awards announced in April last year were withdrawn after two petitions were filed claiming conflict of interest vis-à-vis some members of the previous advisory committee.
