Producer Govindu turns hero with Dadru...

<div class="section1"><div class="Normal">BANGALORE: Oscar Films launched its latest movie <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Dadru Saar Dadru</span> at a function at the Best Club on Tuesday.<br />Leading film producer Sa.Ra. Govindu is making his debut as a hero along with another director Om Prakash Rao. Ruthika is the heroine.<br />Govindu said it was unexpected."I must appreciate the producer for making film with me as hero. But I may not continue to act, because I have my own troupe and boys to be looked after."<br />According to H.A. Rahman, producer, there was a plan to produce a Kannada movie and this subject was unexpected. ``There are dullheads in almost all fields and it was a comedy film with sentimental touch.''''<br />Director M.S. Rajasekhar said there was absolutely nothing in the story. ``We want to make the people laugh. That is the trend in the Kannada film industry now. Let people decide after watching the movie who are the Dadru (fools).''''<br />The story has been written by Rajasekhar and Om Prakash Rao. There are six songs directed by Rajesh Ramanathan.<br />Ruthika, who made a sensational entry into Kannada film industry through <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Friends</span> said: ``The two heroes love me. At last....'''' She did not want to narrate the story. But she was wondering what the meaning of the title was. Producer Rahman tried to explain it to her, but failed. She had to find out from the scribes. <br />NANJUNDI: Producer Ramu has launched his new Kannada movie Nanjundi which is completely rural-based and song-oriented story.<br />According to Ramu, this is the 250th film of popular music director Hamsalekha.<br />``This is an old project which was described to me by Ramesh and Lokesh of AK-47 fame. I was happy with their work in AK-47 and hence I have given this project to them,'''' said Ramu. Hamsalekha had readied 40 tunes for the film. Ramy has selected nine songs. One of the highlights of the music is that Hamsalekha has not used any electronic instruments. ``I am using only traditional musical instruments. Another point is that I have written the songs before the selection of hero and heroine, which I had never done before.''''<br />For the first time, Kambala sports is being used in Nanjundi. Ramu is still in search of hero and heroine. While Suresh Babu has handled the camera, Dinesh Mangalore has designed costumes.<br /><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="">City Market</span>: Yet another producer, Shilpa Srinivas, is donning role of a hero in the movie <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">City Market</span> which will be launched on Friday at the Kanteerava Studio. <br />Srinivas had produced <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Parva</span> directed by Sunil Kumar Desai which failed to click.<br />While Sinchana is the heroine, the other stars in City Market include Mukhya Manthri Chandru, Jai Jagadish, Bank Janardhan, Biradar and Shankara Rao. While Raju Shiralakoppa has handled the camera, Vali G. has scored the music. </div> </div>
