Probe ordered into gift coupons

BANGALORE: KPCC president B Janardhana Poojary on Saturday constituted a three-member committee to inquire into the controversy over Bangalore mayor P.R. Ramesh offering gift coupons to journalists at a dinner hosted by him.
Minister D.K. Shivakumar, KPCC general secretary Veeranna Mathikatti and MLA N.S. Bose Raju are the committee members.
Poojary told the Sunday Times of India the probe had been ordered as Ramesh denied having given the coupons.No deadline has been set.
