Pensioners demand medical allowance hike

mysore: the central government pensioners' association has demanded a hike in medical allowance of employees and pensioners. at a meeting held here recently, the members contended that the present allowance of rs 100 per month to pensioners should be raised to rs 250, as medical consultancy fees and cost of medicines had gone up over the years. the meeting was presided over by dr t.s.satyanarayana roa, president of central pensioners' association.
