BENGALURU: Yashovardhan Parantap's all-round show (4-35 & 51) and Dhruv Prabhakar's half-century helped Karnataka to a one-wicket win over Saurashtra in the Vinoo Mankad U-19 cricket tournament in Kolkata on Saturday. Batting first, Saurashtra scored 268/8 in 50 overs with Ansh Gosai (58), Raxit Mehta (51) and Manav Chothani (63) leading from the front. Parantap bagged four wickets while Mohsin Khan took two wickets for 34 runs.

Karnataka prevailed in 49.5 overs with Parantap and Prabhakar (67) anchoring the run chase well.

Karnataka qualified for the knockouts of the BCCI U-19 women's T20 Trophy, beating Sikkim by 10 wickets in Hyderabad. Batting first, Sikkim were all out for 32 with Vandita K Rao bagging five wickets for 2 runs. Karnataka overhauled the target in 3.1 overs. The knockouts begin in Ahmedabad on October 11.
