No wooing BJP: Prahlad Joshi
BANGALORE: State BJP president Prahlad Joshi has warned leaders of disciplinary action if they, without the party’s knowledge, try to bring back former chief minister and KJP chief BS Yeddyurappa.
BJP spokesperson and MLC Go Madhusudhan had written to BJP president Rajnath Singh to bring back Yeddyurappa. Upset about it, Joshi said, “It was a big mistake and the party will initiate disciplinary action against him.” Joshi said partymen should first discuss issues with state leaders like DV Sadananda Gowda, Jagadish Shettar or himself.
1x1 polls
“Writing letters to the central leadership is a serious breach of discipline,” he said.
Revamp on cards
In the run-up to Lok Sabha polls, the state BJP will be revamped. It will woo the young brigand to be office-bearers. Joshi said more stress will be laid on discipline. “The party lost the assembly election due to indiscipline. Every cadre must follow the party’s principles,” he said.
Destination Goa
Eleven leaders from the state unit will participate in the BJP national executive in Goa from Friday. Among the MLAs, only Aravind Limbavali has been chosen by the party to attend the event. Others include DV Sadananda Gowda, Jagadish Shettar, KS Eshwarappa and R Ashoka, Prahlad Joshi and few office-bearers.
