Nijalingappa's death mourned

dharwad: the staff and students of karnatak university on wednesday paid rich tributes to former chief minister s. nijalingappa who died at chitradurga on tuesday night. at a condolence meeting convened at senate hall in the university registrar dr s. rajashekhar recalled the yeomen service rendered by nijalingappa to the state. b d kumbar, l s mattennavar among others spoke at the meeting.all the educational institutions coming under the university were closed on wednesday as mark of respect for the departed leader.
