BENGALURU: Nicholas Nathan Raj outplayed Laksh Chengappa MA 21-11, 21-15 to clinch the boys U-17 title at the State sub-junior badminton championships that concluded in Shivamogga on Sunday.

In the corresponding event for girls, Karnika Sree S battled past Gowri Vineeth Bhat 21-15, 14-21, 21-17 to emerge winner. In the boys U-15 title clash, Dhyan Santosh defeated Ishan Kiran Naik 21-13, 21-16, while Diya Bheemaiah outclassed Jade Anil 21-16, 21-10 in the girls’ category.
