Nepal rub salt into Pakistan’s wounds

Bengaluru: Midfielder Rahis Nabi, one of the many overseas players trying to help Pakistan out of a prolonged rut, was inconsolable after his team continued its humiliating run of defeats in international football, this time a 0-1 loss against Nepal that ended their miserable run in the SAFF Championship here on Tuesday.
There was no end to Pakistan's losing streak and Nepal’s win fashioned by substitute Aashish Chaudhary’s opportunistic strike in the 80th minute, means the team, which has now lost a dozen matches in a row, has a herculean task even to make an impression in the World Cup qualifiers scheduled in October.
