NCC officer gets bail,suspended from college

BANGALORE: Ajay Pavithran, NCC instructor with Christ University, who allegedly harassed an 18-year-old BA student of the college, was granted bail on Thursday.
He had been arrested by the police on Tuesday and sent to central jail. Christ University authorities have said that Pavithran has been placed under suspension pending an official probe by the college.
Father Abraham VM, pro vice-chancellor of the university, said the college will look into the allegation and an enquiry will be conducted. Until then, the NCC instructor will be barred from coming to college, he added.
