My mom was kidnapped on Revanna's order, says youth

BENGALURU: The son of one of the women, who is said to have appeared in sleaze videos allegedly involving Hassan Lok Sabha member Prajwal Revanna, alleged that the JD(S) MP's father and Holenarispur MLA HD Revanna and his associate have abducted his mother and kept her in confinement.
The youth said in his complaint, lodged with KR Nagar police in Mysuru district on Thursday night, that his mother was taken away on April 29 night by Satish Babanna, who allegedly claimed he was acting on Revanna's instructions.
Babanna, a resident of Hebbalu Koppalu in KR Nagar, has been arrested and remanded in judicial custody in Mysuru. According to police sources, he told his interrogators that he handed over the woman to Revanna's wife Bhavani.
Meanwhile, chief minister Siddaramaiah said he has directed police to trace the missing woman.
KR Nagar police registered a case under IPC Sections 365 (kidnapping or abducting with intent to secretly and wrongfully confine a person) and 364 (kidnapping for ransom). Revanna is named as accused no. 1 and Babanna as accused no. 2.
According to the complainant, his mother worked as a maid in Revanna's Holenarsipur residence for about six years. She quit the job three years ago and began working as a daily-wage labourer.
"Four days before April 26, Satish Babanna came to our house saying Bhavani was calling my mother. He took my mother with him and she returned home on voting day. Before leaving, he said police could visit us for some reason and we shouldn't tell them anything. Also, he threatened that some case could be registered against us," he said.
"Again, on April 29 night, Babanna came to our home and asked my mother to accompany him. He said Revanna had sent him to bring my mother. He also said if a case was registered against my mother, we would be in trouble and could be jailed. He took her on his motorbike. On May 1 afternoon, my friends told me that my mother was seen in a sex video. My brother-in-laws too called me saying that in the video, Prajwal rapes my mother in spite of her pleading with him to spare her. They told me it was turning out to be a big case. I called Babanna, asking him where my mother was and to bring her back immediately," the complainant said.
He said Babanna told him a criminal case was registered against his mother and they should bail her out. According to the complainant, Babanna told him his mother was seen carrying a wooden log and standing next to 'Revanna's son' during a fight.
"My mother has been kidnapped and confined in an unknown place by Babanna on directions of Revanna," the complaint read.
