AITS students show off their talent for Fresh Face 2016

The excitement in the auditorium of

Acharya Institute of Technical Studies

was unparalleled when the team of

Oppo Bangalore Times Fresh Face

2016 reached the college for their auditions. Over 100 students turned up to register and show off their many skills. Guest judge, Kannada film actress Manvitha Harish, also got in on the action, and took to the stage to show off her moves to the songs Googly Googly and Kala Chashma.

TOO MUCH TALENT! Apart from the usual song-and-dance routines, the students showcased a variety of talent, like ramp-walking, poetry recitation, beat-boxing, rapping, elocution and guitar-playing, among other things. While Aishwarya HR’s dance to Deewani Mastani drew lots of applause, Dhananjay Kulkarni’s mimicry had the audience rolling on the floor in laughter. Many contestants — such as Pratik Ranjan, Manya Sharma and Banshika Banerjee — won the judges over with their songs.

WINNERS:

Rhea RB

, who danced to Tu Issaq Mera, and impressed the judges with her answer to the question ‘How does it help to be popular in college?’ was declared the winner among the girls, followed by Akshata Athani and Namrata Joshi in the first and second runners-up positions, respectively.

Vishnu Govind Ranjith

, who showed off some mean moves onstage, was adjudged the winner among the boys. The calm and composed guitarist Dheeraj C was the first runner-up, while Sushant K Jotawar was the second runner-up
