Mother of molestation victim surrenders

MYSORE: N K Leela, who allegedly pushed her teenaged daughter to prostitution, surrendered before Kuvempunagar police here on Monday. Leela had been absconding ever since her 14-year-old daughter complained against her on April 26.
City police commissioner K L Sudheer said she had gone on a pilgrimage after a complaint was registered against her. Leela was sent to judicial custody, the top cop added.Following the complaint, KR Pet Block education officer K Puttaswamy Gowda was arrested for allegedly abusing the minor girl.
