The Karnataka high court on Thursday granted bail to Bineesh Kodiyeri, the son of former Kerala CPI (M) secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan in a money laundering case filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

BENGALURU: The Karnataka high court on Thursday granted bail to Bineesh Kodiyeri, the son of former Kerala CPI (M) secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan in a money laundering case filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
Bineesh has been in prison for almost a year now.
Sources said justice Uma, heading a single bench of the high court, granted bail to the 38-year-old under some conditions which are yet to be available to the media.

Bineesh is lodged at Parappanna Agrahara prison complex in Bengaluru following his arrest by the ED on October 29, 2020.
He is expected to walkout of the prison on Friday afternoon, sources said.
