BANGALORE: A 42-year-old man succumbed to complications due to H1N1 on Sunday. Though the epidemic was controlled since its outburst in 2009, stray cases have been reported time and again from various parts of the city. This season, some patients are being treated with H1N1 medication even before their throat swabs are tested.
“A 42-year-old person who was found to be H1N1 positive with multiple organ failure was transferred to our hospital from another private hospital as they did not have an isolation room in their ICU.
