Man, 30, kills 2nd wife, held

Bengaluru: A 30-year-old self-employed man has been arrested on charges of killing his second wife at his Yeshwantpur residence.
The accused is Sharat Kumar, a resident of MK Nagar. Sharath allegedly strangled his wife S Priya, 19, to death in the early hours of Thursday and tried to mislead the family members and police by saying she had died in her sleep. However, the autopsy report confirmed the truth.Priya’s mother P Usha filed a complaint. Sharat was subsequently arrested and is said to have confessed to killing Priya. Investigation revealed that Priya was his second wife and often fought with Sharat for hiding his first marriage. tnn
