Love triangle row: Bengaluru man arrested for killing wife

Bengaluru: A 27-year-old married woman who allegedly had a relationship with another person was killed by her husband in their house near Attibele Monday night, police said.
The deceased is Anitha and the accused is Babu, 31. Based on preliminary investigation, police said Babu murdered his wife by assaulting her with a wooden log.
Babu, a musical instrument player, is married to two women — Anitha and Sushmitha. Police said Sushmitha and Anitha were friends and he married them on the same day. He has two children with each, and all were living in the same house. Meanwhile, Anitha had an affair with another man and allegedly eloped with him a few months ago. Babu filed a missing-person complaint, and brought her back home when she was traced. Cops said Anitha wanted to get back to her lover, and the couple would have regular fights over the issue.
On Monday night, Anitha and Babu argued again. When Anitha said she wanted to be with her lover, Babu allegedly broke her leg and hit her with a log on her head and face, killing her. When Sushmitha tried to stop him, he assaulted her too. Hearing the commotion, neighbours alerted police.
