Bengaluru: The 11th edition of Bangalore Literature Festival will be inaugurated in the city on Saturday.
Over 280 celebrated authors, writers and speakers are expected to attend the 2022 edition of the festival on the lawns of Hotel Lalit Ashok.
According to an official release, the two-day event will feature distinguished authors and speakers including historian William Dalrymple, author-poet Jerry Pinto, poet and novelist Jeet Thayil, researcher and journalist Akshaya Mukul, author-politician Arun Shourie, playwright Cyrus Mistry, children’s writer Honey Irani, former Karnataka chief minister Veerappa Moily, classical dancer Mallika Sarabhai, and historian Manu Pillai.
ScreenLit, a platform for budding screenplay writers to showcase their creations to eminent filmmakers; LitMart, a platform where first-time writers can pitch their stories to a jury of publishers, editors and literary agents; commemoration of the life of late Kannada superstar Puneeth Rajkumar, a festival bookshop and digital app for enhanced audience experience at the venue will be the main features of the festival.
