Bengaluru: Leopard spotted at C-DoT campus in Electronics City

BENGALURU: Spotted a few days ago while crossing Hosur Road near Electronics City, an elusive leopard was seen roaming the campus of the Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) on Friday morning, near the Infosys premises, off Hosur Road. Locating the movement of the leopard on the C-DOT campus, the forest department has set up two cages to capture and translocate the big cat.

Leopard Task Force (LTF) personnel and forest officials discovered the movement of the wild animal on the C-DOT campus after rummaging through CCTV footage. The department has also set up five camera traps in the region to capture the movement of the leopard. "We spotted the leopard moving towards thick vegetation beside a building inside the C-DOT campus," explained a senior official who is overseeing the operations at E-city.

Two cages with bait have also been set up in different locations on the campus. "We are hopeful of capturing the leopard tonight or Saturday morning," the official said.
