The petitioner has questioned the appointment of G R Jagadeesh , who was the principal of CBR National college Shimoga for a two year period from June 11 last year to the post of Dean. He says that Jagadeesh has only 23 years of experience. He has complained that the VC did not act on his complaint.
The petitioner, who claims to have 29 years of experience as a member of the faculty of law, has contended that as per Section 22 of the KSLU Act, the Vice-Chancellor of the University has no other option left but to appoint a professor in the faculty of law to the post of Dean based on seniority.
