raichur: member of national commission for sc, st veena nayyar on friday reviewed the s.c.p. and t.s.p. schemes in raichur district, at the craft hall of the zilla panchayat. after the meeting, veena nayyar said the schemes which were meant for the uplift of the scheduled castes and scheduled tribes were not being implemented properly, specifically in rural areas.she regretted that they failed to utilise the provisions under various schemes and suggested to all the officials of the district administration and voluntary organisations to join hands in implementing the schemes for the uplift of sc and st in the district and advised them to realise their responsibilities in this regard. bankers should not harass the scs, sts while releasing the sanctioned loan amount under various schemes. they should display the name of beneficiers of the schemes on the notice board of the office, she said. veena heard the grievances relating to harassment by banks, officials while releasing the sanctioned loan amount, delay in granting agriculture lands to landless scs and sts, dalits etc. she assured to set right the problems at the earliest. local mla syed yasin, deputy commissioner kumar nayak, superintendent of police arun chakravarti, chief executive officer of zilla panchayat sb dyaberi, chairman of urban development authority a. vasanth kumar, president of zilla panchayat ramanna irabgera, vice-president of zilla panchayat sridevi kyatnatti, dalit leader ravindra and representatives of other organisations participated in the meeting.
