Koramangala residents donate jeep, flashlights to police

bangalore: residents of koramangala have donated a hoysala jeep, 20 bicycles and 30 flashlights to the local police. the jeep was donated by c vishwanath iyer of vikram associates, while the residents'' civic group donated the flashlights. bangalore police commissioner h.t.sangliana who was presentsuggested a few remedies to bring down the increasing crime in the city.he asked the residents of kormangala to adopt a neighbourhood watch scheme so that each resident is aware of every thing that happens in their locality. with the area under kormangala increasing fivefold from 1980, the residents urged the police commissioner to increase the number of police personnel which still remains 28.
