reiterating government's commitment to implement Kannada as a compulsory subject in all schools, regardless of their affiliation to state or central board.
Protection of land, river and language is a key priority, the CM said inaugurating the annual Kannada meet that saw Kalaburagi bathed in yellow-and-red flags. Thousands of writers, artists, students and officials are attending the three-day literary meet.
