Karnataka to be under lockdown from Tuesday till March 31

With the number of Covid-19 cases on the rise, the Karnataka government on Monday announced a complete lockdown of the state till March 31 from Tuesday (March 24).

BENGALURU: With the number of Covid-19 cases on the rise, the Karnataka government on Monday announced a complete lockdown of the state till March 31 from Tuesday (March 24).

Acting on the advice of the doctors and health specialists, chief minister BS Yediyurappa announced the complete lockdown of the state till March 31.
The state has recorded seven cases on Monday and total 33 cases since the outbreak of the disease.

During the lockdown, barring essential services like medical shops, provision stores, milk parlours and petrol pumps, all other commercial activities will be shut.
The government has also clamped prohibitory orders to prevent more than five people gathering in public places.
