Karnataka State Bar Council registers criminal complaint against five fake lawyers

BELAGAVI: Karnataka State Bar Council (KSBC) has registered criminal complaint against five fake lawyers from Raibag town.KSBC has informed Raibag Advocates Association in this regard through a letter dated 15 ^thApril. According to letter, complaint has been registered against accused- Tukaram Madale, Hanumant Sane, Pawan Kadam, Ashok Sankapal and Prabhakar Gaggari, all from Raibag, at the Vidhana Soudha police station in Bengaluru.Letter signed by KSBC president P P Hegde also informed that, the enrollment (Sanad) of all five fake lawyers has been cancelled and also their names have been cancelled from rulebook. They are not eligible for making legal practice at any court across the country.KSBC has taken action against the fake lawyers based on the complaint of an RTI activist advocate Surendra Ugare. All accused had availed enrollment (Sanad) to practice in courts, submitting the fake law degree certificates of Bihar based Magadh University and Uttar Pradesh based University of Allahabad. When KSBC cross-checked with the concerned universities based on the complaint of RTI activist, all certificated proved fake.
